Can We Say Autumn?
Could these colors be any more appropriate for fall? Red Creek Jasper comes in such a pretty array of colors. I made the fold-formed leaf and all the twisted wire beads, too. I coated it all with Ren Wax.
I didn't notice till I was editing pictures how much the beads look like candy.
We have Christmas M&Ms and Easter M&Ms-how about Autumn M&Ms?

Czech Glass Beads
I just can't get enough of these Czech beads. They have a Picasso finish and look like really old, grungy trade beads.
Here are 2 new necklaces that use these beads. They look great with antiqued copper.

Catching Up
Spent all afternoon today editing pictures and posting them on Etsy. I was sadly lacking necklaces in my shop. Took the pictures yesterday. This is such a tedious process-not difficult, but tedious and boring. But I always feel so much better when it's done. That means I can MAKE more stuff and that's the fun part. Here are some results.
Have a great weekend, everybody!

Bohemian Inspired Jewelry
I know many of you are familiar with the new book in the title of this post. It is by Erin Seigal and Lorelei Eurto, well known bloggers in the jewelry field. I have been a fan of Erin's work and the use of waxed linen and knotting for some time. Finally, I made a couple pairs of earrings from the book. They're fun and easy and I think I'd like a pair in every color!
But only two, so far :) Have you checked it out? I was so eager I got the online edition.

Revamped
Do you ever take jewelry apart and re-work it? I can't be the only one who looks at old jewelry and doesn't like it anymore. Sometimes I have bigger piles of things to take apart than I do new stuff. The silver pair above had the beads removed and replaced after polishing up the silver. I like them better now, hope someone else does.
These fold-formed copper discs had a small red bead and I thought they needed something bigger. I love how the spots on these beads match the copper perfectly and the bead caps complete the look, I think.
These are new but I cut up some silver that was larger to pair with the copper diamonds. I think I really like them but I'm not really sure. How is that? Does anyone think they look off? I wanted to mix metals and these certainly are mixed.
This last pair is completely new and I love how the copper discs look like thumbprints! I'm making more of these!
I've been on an earring binge trying to clean up my work table. Now I think I'm ready for some necklaces.

Etsy versus ???
After all the fuss over resellers and shops getting shut down in the past months, I had to think about what I wanted to do with my Etsy shop. As it was, I hadn't updated it for about 6 months (!!!). I decided to try a new site, Zibbet. I'm only just getting it up and running and haven't sold anything there, yet. I like how it looks but it's really fairly similar to Etsy. However, there are no listing fees and they don't take a percentage of your sales, either.
So, at this time, I've decided to keep the Etsy shop open as well as Zibbet. While I'm not happy with everything Etsy does, it's still a good site and I've enjoyed being on it. I guess I'll see how it goes.
Peace and Love,
Mary
